The Tasting Room Bar Back is primarily responsible for providing support to the Wine Servers, and the operations of the Tasting Room. They also assist with the opening and closing of all winery areas, the stocking and replenishment of wine and wine glasses, and all supplies needed for operation. As a member of the Tasting Room staff, the Barback is also expected to respect and support his/her co-workers and management, staying positive and flexible especially during busy periods.

Tasks
• Wipe down bars and outdoor tables.
• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken glasses and remove empty bottles and trash.
• Perform cleaning, or stocking duties in Tasting Room, restrooms and throughout the winery.
• Maintain adequate supplies of wine and wine glasses throughout the property.
• Service water dispensers locations.
• Open and close umbrellas at the start and end of shifts.
• Operate standing heaters and practice proper safety.
• Stock bars and fridges.
• Locate items requested by customers.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in winery and mop or vacuum floors.
• Pick up trash around property.
• Organize Tasting Room storage areas.
• Clean glasses.
• Clean tables and pick up chairs in lawn.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tasting Room Manager to lead our tasting room operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the wine industry, with a strong focus on customer service and hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, and managing a team of staff members in a vibrant and engaging environment. Increasing tasting room sales and creating a positive work environment.
Duties
• Manage the daily operations of the tasting room, ensuring smooth service and high-quality customer experiences.
• Train, supervise, and mentor tasting room staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Develop and implement training programs focused on sales, customer service, and product knowledge.
• Create engaging tasting experiences that highlight our offerings while educating guests on our products.
• Maintain inventory levels of wine and merchandise, coordinating with suppliers as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the tasting room.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to plan events and promotions that drive traffic to the tasting room.
Skills
• Strong background in the wine industry and management preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively.
• Experience in bartending or beverage management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
